[edit] Note about the photo
The original photo on the page was of the statue on top of the mountain. Although the statue is among the mountain's key landmarks, there is a broader way to visualize the article's content. For that reason I swapped in a photo of the mountain itself, with the statue still visible atop its peak. The original photo was taken by me and I have released all rights to it.
Note that there is a separate article about the statue itself and a closeup photo of it more appropriately appears there.
- isn't there a higher quality photo of Corcovado - this one is quite fuzzy? although there is a separate article on the statue itself, the image of Cristo Redentor is still worth to be placed here! --menphrad 08:34, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Note about the location
After updating the quoted location from 22°57'5.95"S 43°12'36.83"W to 22°57'8.7"S 43°12'42"W I noticed your comment differentiating between the mountain and the statue (until reading your comment I though that "Corcovado" reffered to the statue, as was told to me by my Brazilian wife). So should I edit the location back to the original and give the new location (which points to the base of the status according to Google map) to the entry about the statue?
