Cotelco

Cotelco, the Collaboratory on Technology Enhanced Learning Communities, is a social science research center at Syracuse University exploring the socio-technical factors that influence geographically distributed collaboration and knowledge work. Located in Hinds Hall, the newly renovated School of Information Studies building, Cotelco brings together faculty, graduate and undergraduate students from Syracuse University and leading research universities around the world. Cotelco was founded in 1999 by its current director, Dr. Derrick L. Cogburn, and in 2002 received a ComputerWorld Honors Award/Smithsonian Innovation Award Laureate for outstanding countributions to the development of a global information society.
