[edit] Chadd Pierce
Chadd Pierce is often called a “Creative Genius” by his peers, but is quick to respond: "More like 'Master Of All Things Large and Small'... but put down that I'm really humble and easy to talk to. A real 'man's man'."
This kind of bipolar strangeness is only the handle on the door to Pierce’s mind.
Chadd has been a radio entertainer since late 1998. He still keeps in creative touch with his hometown roots at WBYR-FM in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and now writes, produces, and acts/voices for radio stations in Chicago, Sacramento, and in an ever-expanding list of markets through Premier Radio Network.
Using irreverence as his shoe soles, Chadd has stomped his brand of weirdness through territories large and small, and shows no sign of slowing down. Currently employed by Entercom LLC, Pierce is Creative Services Director for KWOD—an adult alternative rock station—and KRXQ—an active rocker—in Sacramento. In this role, freedom to explore the depths of his creativity is the most ideal fit. His job is to create the “sound” of each station by giving them each an individual audio signature, a “stationality” as industry folks know it.
Using wit, character voice, “hip” factor, and direction from two station managers (Jim Fox – KRXQ; Curtiss Johnson – KWOD), Chadd has quickly gained attention from his employers as an asset. In early 2006, Pierce won a silver Addy in both City and District competitions, with his work going onto Nationals. He has enjoyed growth with KRXQ, seeing ratings steadily increase since his hire, while participating in an experimental new brand of radio with KWOD’s less commercial Gen-X focus. Stay tuned...
