Craig Stansberry is a second baseman on the San Diego Padres 40-man roster. He was born on March 8, 1982 in Saudi Arabia, although he lived there for only three months. He had been on the Pittsburgh Pirates' active roster until he was claimed off waivers by the Padres on December 20, 2006. He would be the first Major League baseball player born in Saudi Arabia. He is vying for a roster spot, but it appears he will not make the major-league club as of yet.
