Crash Test Kitchen is a video blog and podcast about home cooking that features Australian-born, British-based couple Waz and Lenny. It was started in 2005 while the couple was living in Canada.

In December 2006 it was featured in the Person of the Year issue of Time magazine, which awarded the title to "You" - meaning independent content creators on the web.

Crash Test Kitchen has at various times been rated the world's number one food podcast in iTunes. Waz and Lenny have also been interviewed by several media outlets about food podcasting and video podcasting (also known as video blogging) in general.

[edit] What makes CTK so watchable

CTK has gained a loyal following largely because it presents a "warts and all" picture of home cooking, as opposed to the "here's one we prepared earlier" fakery of TV chefs. Lenny and Waz are famous for making mistakes, improvising and engaging in sometimes fierce domestic disputes during the course of an episode. The end result is always shown, whether or not it is a success, as can be seen in their hilarious Sponge Blob Square Pan episode (mentioned in Time) where they attempt to make a layered sponge cake.
