Creative Boost
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Creative Boost is a comic created by Alisa Koebel (the writer) and Jessa Rempel (the artist). It is based on day-to-day activities of two Vancouver, Canadian girls in their teens and their friends and foes, and is currently under construction. It will soon be open to the public on a webpage. Things ensue.
[edit] Characters
Alisa
NOT Alicia. She is the more caring side of the two main characters, and loves animals. She has... I don't know... a lot of pets, including some mice, a snake, a fish, and a gecko or two. She seems to have an obsession with cheesecake, and will do anything for it. Her main catchphrase is "Hey, you!", which is usually the statement used to start a new story.
Jessa
Yes, Jessa. She is very ignorant of the world around her, because "the real world is boring". She can be mean and can come off as rude, but she is an honest and loyal friend. She has an unhealthy obsession with fire and pie, and has secret crushes on Weird Al Yankovic and Kurt Cobain.
Cricket
Jessa's dog. He's not all that important.
Gulzaar
The "rebel". He over uses the phrase "your mom", and is usually the one who is injured most. His favourite band is Green Day.
Shoshana
Whenever you need a statistic or poll, Shoshana is there to help. She loves to help in anyway she can, but once she starts a conversation you can never shut her up. Ever...
Dylan
Your anime database. He knows all about every anime show to ever air in North or South America.
Anke
The boy stalker. Anke crushes on every boy she sees, and stalks them whenever she's not reading. She laughs at everything that moves. Or doesn't.
Marie
Jessa's fashionable older sister. Sarcastic but witty, Marie helps Jessa through the tough times.
Jenny
Jenny is the artistic one of the group. She can turn any piece of trash into a masterpiece, and is a deep thinker. Currently obsessed with crepes.
Elly
The actual factual smart one. Ask her anything; she knows the answer. She enjoys school and homework, and does it often for fun.
Haley
Not much is known about her yet, except that she is one of Alisa's best friends. She went to Alisa's old school before she met Jessa.
Emo Kid
Emo Kid doesn't really have a gender, nor does it seem to be able to talk. Or actually look emo. It communicates through signs it holds in the air, but is ignored by everyone.
Arielle
Jessa and Alisa's archnemisis. The stereotypical valley girl of high school. Ew.
Kelsey
The pack follower; the cling-on. She follows all the current cool people in the school. She seems to think Arielle is cool, and is clinging on to her at the moment. She also seems to think that she and Jessa are best friends. Oh my.
Justin
Also known as SuperJustin, Vancouver's personal crime-fighter. Nobody seems to notice that they are the same person. He likes hugs.
The Intrepid Ratgirl
Alisa's crime-fighting alter ego (one of many), who likes to steal shiny things. Her catchphrase is "The Intrepid Ratgirl...Strikes Again!" Her greatest weakness (shared by most of her alter egos) is...muzakk. DUN DUN DUNNNNNN!
Euculyptus-and-peppermint-flavoured-platypus-with-blue-hair-dye-and-orange-trim girl. Who burns things.
One of Jessa's alteregos, who works alongside Ratgirl. She doesn't have a catchphrase. Sue her.
Brooke
Brooke was freed from Jessa's imagination one fateful night when they were experimenting with one of Alisa's inventions. Brooke is almost exactly like Jessa, except that she doesn't like Weird Al. WHY??
Rebecca Fischer
Alisa's "tough motorcycle-chick" alter ego. She has an awesome leather jacket.
Nydowynn
Nydowynn was freed from Alisa's imagination (and her Dark Age of Camelot account) while experimenting with her invention. She's the really caring one with the green thumb. She's the one that no one can describe. She's all...woody and stuff.
The Almighty Canuck
AKA Kenny Dean. A crappy superhero who loves his country a little too much. He has moose antlers, a beaver tail, and is, like, ten feet tall. He carries around a hockey stick, a basketball (YES that's a Canadian sport!! Shut up, America!!), and a tray of bacon, maple syrup, and maple candy, which he somehow uses to fight crime. He has a creepy crush on Euculyptus-and-peppermint-flavoured-platypus-with-blue-hair-dye-and-orange-trim girl. Who burns things., and has actually kidnapped her and made her his sidekick, The Almost Mighty But Not Quite Goose Lass.
