Croline
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A flaky (typically puff) pastry parcel filled with various (traditionally) savoury fillings. Normally the top side of the pastry comes with a lattice decoration. Crolines come in various shapes and sizes and with different fillings. Traditionally savoury fillings are used but sweet versions are beginning to be produced. Typical savoury fillings are mushroom, ham/cheese and salmon/herb. (Seafood filled crolines normally come in a fish shaped pastry.)
Petit Crolines (small crolines) are becoming popular with catered events, they can be mass produced and simply heated as an Hors d'œuvre, or as a sweet Petit four.
