Cronicae et gesta ducum sive principum Polonorum

Cronicae et gesta ducum sive principum Polonorum (Chronicles and Deeds of the Dukes or Princes of the Poles) was the first history of Poland. It was written in Latin, ca. 1115, by Gallus Anonymus. It is suspected he was monk from Venice. The oldest known copy is from 1340. Autograph was not preserved . Chronicle describe historical events from 8th century Popielids and Piasts beginning from Piast the Wheelwright to 10'th successor Bolesław III Wrymouth when, during reign in Masovia's Plock, in year 1113, the Chronicle ends. Cronicle was quoted and known to Wincenty Kadłubek author of [[Chronica seu originale regum et principum Poloniae.
