CrossLoop is the name of an Internet company based in California. CrossLoop is primarily known for its easy and secure remote desktop and screen sharing for technical support and collaboration software, with which it shares its name.

CrossLoop brings a team of people together from various successful companies like Digital Research, SHOP.COM, LinkedIn, PGSoft and Novell, who have worked together for many years.
Tom Rolander is the Co-Founder/CEO of CrossLoop. Tom's Career Highlights include the first one to design the multi-tasking MP/M and network (CP/NET) operating systems for the early microcomputers at Digital Research, Inc., apart from his work at Novell and PGSoft. He is also featured in the book They Made America by Harold Evans for his contribution to the invention of the PC Software industry along with Gary Kildall, the Founder of Digital Research, Inc..
CrossLoop came about when Tom Rolander's father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
Tom wanted to stay as close as possible to his parents as they dealt with this disease but Tom lived in Pacific Grove and his parents lived in an apartment in Seattle. To leverage the power of the Internet to shrink this distance, Tom needed a simple solution to help his mom and dad with their PC. So, he built one. This pre-cursor to CrossLoop allowed him to remotely drive various applications like photo slide shows to help his father with his memory, use free communication tools like Skype to visit with him regularly and configure webcams that allowed each side to see one another as they talked. The same technology was then used to empower the entire family to always be 'in the loop’ with their father even though they all lived many miles apart. From this personal need, flowed the version of CrossLoop that you see today which has no learning curve or knowledge of technology required. With one click - one can securely and privately share screens!
Lee Jay Lorenzen, Chairman of the Board, has over 20 years of start-up experience. In the past, Lee has founded and provided key management and engineering support to a number of successful software companies including Altura Software, Inc., PG Soft, Fractal Design Corp. and Ventura Software, Inc. Lee is currently CEO of Altura Ventures and Founder/Chairman of the Board of SHOP.COM.

CrossLoop is a free software program that enables anyone, with or without technical knowledge, to securely and privately share their screen on any Windows PC right now. It can also be used for free as a Help desk software by small or medium businesses. It is used internationally by tech support representatives.

CrossLoop is a shell P2P program which uses fork and exec to invoke a VNC (Virtual Network Computing) program. The Windows version of CrossLoop currently uses the TightVNC plug-in program.

CrossLoop is a very secure with all session data being encrypted at the end-points before being sent using a 128-bit encryption algorithm using a randomly generated 12-digit access code. Explicit permission is required before any screen images are sent to a remote computer.
