Crossing the Threshold of Hope was the first book-length interview with Pope John Paul II. It was largely written by the Pope and edited by the Italian journalist and writer Vittorio Messori in 1994. With it, many of the Pope's teachings and ideas are made more accessible.
Crossing the Threshold of Hope was the first book of its kind and quickly became an international bestseller.
