Crystal Core is an Open Source and portable 3D Game based on the Crystal Space 3D Engine and Crystal Entity Layer. It is still in heavy development but the idea is that this game serves as both a good game and a nice tutorial on how to use Crystal Space and Crystal Entity Layer. There is also the hope of spawning a modding community around Crystal Core. Crystal Core is written in C++ by Jorrit Tyberghein and others. Crystal Core is very portable and runs on Microsoft Windows, Linux, UNIX, and Mac OS X. Crystal Space is also open source, licensed under GNU Lesser General Public License. The art work is licensed under a Creative Commons version 2.5 Attribution Non-Commercial Share-Alike license.
