From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
ISO 3166-2:CS is an ISO standard which defines geocodes: it was the subset of ISO 3166-2 which applied to Serbia and Montenegro (formerly Yugoslavia coded YU).
- Note—Czechoslovakia
- Until January 1, 1993, the ISO 3166 country code CS was designated to Czechoslovakia. From 1993 onwards, this state was split into Czech Republic (coded CZ) and Slovakia (coded SK).
- Note— Independence of Montenegro
- Serbia and Montenegro dissolved their union in June 2006. Since the code CS was reserved for the union, on September 26, 2006, ISO issued 2 codes representing Serbia (coded RS) and Montenegro (coded ME).
