Curtis Brown (ice hockey)

Curtis Brown (born on February 12, 1976 in Unity, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian professional hockey centre. He currently plays for the San Jose Sharks. He was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round (43rd overall) of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. He has played for the Buffalo Sabres, San Jose Sharks, and Chicago Blackhawks.

Brown signed with San Jose as an unrestricted free agent in July 2006 after his contract was bought out by Chicago. He signed a two-year-deal worth US$1.4 million, stating that he signed for such a relatively low salary because he had already received money from Chicago's buy-out.

Brown, a very spiritual Christian, has a reputation as being a player of very high character. Both current and former teammates have praised Brown's great attitude and nice personality.
