Curtis Museum

The Curtis Museum in Alton, is one of the finest collections of local history in Hampshire, England.
It contains a wide range of artifacts and displays including:
- Prehistoric tools
- Roman bowls and other material, including a celebrated cup found at Selbourne
- The impressive Anglo Saxon Alton buckle
- The English Civil War Battle of Alton
- The sad tale of Sweet Fanny Adams
- Hop picking and brewing
The museum was founded by Dr William Curtis (1803–1881) in 1865. He was a member of a well-known family in Alton.
The museum is managed by the Hampshire County Museums Service and is near the Allen Gallery.
