Chad Wittman (born Janurary 3rd, 1987) born in Orange, California. Chad was first and last born for the Wittman family. In 1990, the family moved to Honolulu, Hawaii where they would reside for nearly two years. During 1992 the family moved back to its original home in Orange, California. In early 1993 the family would move across the nation, to a suburb of the nation’s capitol. Chad Wittman started school midyear and was shown around the school by a classmate by the name of Peter Choi. This would start a friendship that would last his entire stint in Virginia. In the 3rd grade Chad Wittman would meet a great friend by the name of Justin Hall. 4th grade would serve as an athletic pinnacle for Chad Wittman, as he swept through all three major sports (basketball, baseball, and football). On the Ashburn Knicks (basketball), he would lead his team to a Recreation League Championship while leading the league in scoring. On the Ashburn Cubs (baseball), he would lead his team deep into the playoffs while capturing the elusive Hit-A-Thon Award and maintaining a commendable ERA. On the Ashburn Jets (football), he would be drafted as the top FB and was constantly questioned on his weight based on league rules regarding a running back’s weight.

During the summer between his 4th and 5th grade year Chad Wittman would be relocated once and for all. To his surprise, he found himself in the vibrant city of Appleton, WI. He would attend Edna Ferber Elementary School and would soon attend Einstein Middle School. Chad Wittman played for the Einstein Eagles (basketball) for both 7th and 8th grade. Soon he would find himself at Appleton North High School. Freshman year would serve as a key moment of his life as he was cut from the basketball team. This moment would instill a fierce competitiveness and hard work ethic in him for the rest of his life. That season would prove as a working period as he trained for his next season. Sophomore year would come along and his hard work paid off.

He had a mildly successful season, but more importantly he would witness one of the worst lies of his life. Teammate and friend Logan Lietz simply did not show up to the Appleton North vs. Appleton West game, the biggest of the season. When the coached called him and asked why he had not shown up, Logan responded, “I was at the hospital with food poisoning.” The coach understood, however he would just need to see some evidence of the visit. Logan’s lack of a response was long and hesitant. The coach sensed a lie and asked him the truth. Logan confessed and was promptly kicked off the team. This would prove as a turning point in Chad Wittman’s life as he would repeat this story to people from around the world in order to amuse his self.

Junior year would serve as another rebuilding year for the struggling Appleton North Lighting. Chad would ride the bench with his fellow Juniors as they watched game in and game out defeats. This would serve as fuel for their Senior season as they would never allow themselves to be defeated easily. Senior year would serve as a great experience ending in utter dismay, during the tournament, as cross-town team Appleton East would make a buzzer beater bank 3-pointer to send the game into overtime.

Chad Wittman currently attends University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire as a Business Management major.
