[edit] Use your pictures
Hi Cybjorg,
I known that you are author of the pictures Image:Wall Patterns.jpg and Image:Sandstone Concretion.jpg. I'd like to illustrate these pictures within the article vi:Đá cát (Vietnamese version of the Sandstone). Please kindly permit me to add/use it within above mentioned article by written. My account in vi.wikipedia.org is vi:User:Vương Ngân Hà. Thanks in advance. Vuong Ngan Ha 09:02, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
- By all means, feel free to use the pictures. - Cybjorg 15:17, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

About your external link problem: my advice to you is to remove the link as spam and give the anon {{spam}}, {{spam2}} and {{spam3}} every time he adds it (in the same way as the "test" templates are given to vandals). If he persists, he can then be blocked. You also may find Wikipedia:External links useful. Izehar (talk) 10:13, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT.jpg
Hi ! I have a bit of a problem with Image:Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT.jpg. The site where the photo was taken does not allow reuse at all, and certainly not "use for any purpose". Do you have a letter or something from the original site which backs your claim ? Failing this, the image will have to be removed. Thank you for your understanding. Rama 23:09, 18 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] AMA Request
See my response on the AMA Reqeust Page. --Wgfinley 06:09, 25 December 2005 (UTC)
- Please don't present the point/counter-point to someone's request on the AMA page, it's not a page for debate, the issue was already duly noted, I tend to think that responding on the page just makes the situation worse and not better, any advocate taking the case (and since he's insisting on being anon doubt that would happen) would look into the issue and see what's going on. --Wgfinley 07:21, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
-
- Oh, and I don't see where this issue is in Arb, if you could let me know what case that is it would be helpful. --Wgfinley 07:31, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Mediation
Do you feel it is still needed? Leave me a note on my talk page, if you could Dan100 (Talk) 15:49, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Living in the Middle East
Hi Cybjorg. You asked me if my name (Nick) caused me problems when living in the Middle East. You're right that it is close in pronunciation to something rude in Arabic. It didn't really cause any problems although a few of the locals thought it was funny. Jordanians are very courteous people and most were far too polite to mention it even when I asked them. It could have been worse, my friend is called Nikki, she really would have been in trouble ;-) . . . Nick Fraser 05:38, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Coordinates
Hello. Thank you for adding {{coordinates}} to the Middle Eastern articles. It looks fine but is bad for use. Try to add {{Coor dms}}, which is interactive. See for example the Galata Tower, where I have recently substituted these templates. - Darwinek 13:11, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- Attractiveness is in the eye of the beholder. However, I didn't realize that an alternative template was available. Spot on. - Cybjorg 18:38, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
-
- I've added interactivity to the template, which makes it much more usable. I find it a nice alternative to the inline template. - Cybjorg 19:21, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Edit on userpage
I edited your userpage to swap out the flag of Aruba with the SVG one, your page being the last usage of that redundant image. Shouldn't happen again, since all of your other flags are SVGs now. 68.39.174.238 13:51, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] How long ago was yoru picture of seaworld taken?
Image:Shamu_Stadium.jpg
Could you add an approximate year, season, month maybe to the file description or tell me so I can? Seaworld changes their attractions so often, the statium no longer looks like that and I was wondering when that photo was taken. Thanks!
- The image was taken on August 30, 2004. I'll append it to the photo data. - Cybjorg 10:08, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Grand_Kugel.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Grand_Kugel.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Featured pictures
Have you ever considered nominating your pictures for being Featured Pictures? I've seen the Wadi Rum images and they're spectacular, sure, a little noise, but that could be fixed. --Eshcorp 08:34, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the compliment. I've never really considered it, as I don't really like to 'toot my own horn'. Feel free to nominated them, if you like. - Cybjorg 06:09, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Oh I will!Eshcorp 15:56, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Byrd Theater.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Byrd Theater.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 21:24, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Place des Martyrs
I have moved the article that you created to Place des Martyrs, Beirut. This is to disambiguate it from other Places des Martyrs (in particular, the one in Luxembourg, the article on which I just created). Bastin 17:04, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image request
Hello. I liked the map you made of the old city quarters on wikitravel. How did you do it?! I am asking if you could make another one of the Jewish quarter with the Temple Mount included like it is on the Muslim quarter [1]. The blue border can stay where it is, with the brown line of the old city wall delineating the Temple Mount. I think it would put the location of the quarter into better perspective. Only if it's not too much trouble... Chesdovi 14:23, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- I created the map in Adobe Illustrator using scans of maps of the Old City and the surrounding areas. I don't currently have the time to create new maps, but feel free to download the maps (they're available in SVG format) and make the edits yourself.
