Désengagement (English title: Disengagement) is a new film directed by Amos Gitai. The film is due to begin filming in January 2007 in Switzerland and Israel. Juliette Binoche will play the central female character. Désengagement is a French/Italian/Israeli co-production and is due to premiere late in 2007. On January 25th 2007 Filmdeculte.com announced that Asia Argento and Jeanne Moreau will take supporting roles in the film.

Following the death of her father Ana (Binoche) embarks on a journey to find the child she gave away as a teenager. This journey leads her to Gaza during the Israeli disengagement, a time fraught with danger and uncertainty.
