[edit] New article creation request
Hello D-Katana,
I am a Taiwanese and I substantially edited the 2 articles "Chu Mei-feng" and "Tseng Chung-ming" from 60.248.60.118 and 61.223.XXX.XXX. I would like to thank you very much for your kind creating the "Tseng Chung-ming" article for me. I just finished another new article, "Taipei First Girls' High School" and it is currently archived in Articles_for_creation/2006-08-29. As a Taiwanese, I know this school and many of its alumni very well. I am sorry to take this liberty to ask you to review my this article and if it's qualified, please bother to create it. Sincere appreciation first.
[edit] 2150
Well, I didn't play 2150, and I just bought 2160, so I can't really say much about it. I still like the first one, 2140, the most. I live in Poland and it was fairly popular around here. Ausir 22:53, 5 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Elder Scrolls screenshots
I've got some screenshots from Morrowind, although at the moment I lack a graphic programme to edit them. If I can get hold of one anytime soon, I'll upload the images to the commons. My graphic card is o.k., so if you need other screenshots from MW or Oblivion, I'll be happy to take them. Cheers - Something Wicked 21:22, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks man
Hey, yeh, took me a while fixing up that Orsinium article. Just to let you know I'll be happy to expand anymore stubs or whatnot and I'll definitley keep the TES lore pages updated. Later. HK51 20:57, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] VfD - Jamie Kane
Please explain your vote on Wikipedia:Votes_for_deletion/Jamie_Kane. In what ways is it marketing? It is in line with other Wikipedia articles such as Flying Spaghetti Monster or a talk-show Countdown (game show). They could be considered marketing too but are generally seen by most editors as representing accurate, useful information. By the way, generally it is expected of users to sign their posts on a talk page. Cheers. --Mintchocicecream 00:42, 20 August 2005 (UTC)
- Thank you for your reply and your explanation. Many comments did not contain any explanation, so thank you for taking the time to explain your vote. However, I would disagree with your analysis, as Cog Rog is about a viral marketing campaign for Burger King whereas Jamie Kane was argued to be a viral marketing campaign in its own right - which isn't true as the BBC (a public service provider) neither authorized the change nor was it meant to be part of a marketing campaign [1]. Thus I would argue the page about Jamie Kane is better compared to pages about other online games or internet phenomenon, of which Wikipedia has many. In any case, Wikipedia is not targeted specifically at 14-18 year old girls and would have made a very poor place to advertise anyway. --Mintchocicecream 09:59, 20 August 2005 (UTC)
- (Reply) A demographic survey of Wikipedia users would certainly be interesting. :) --Mintchocicecream 01:59, 21 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks & palaver
Thanks for the compliment! I have Wind Waker and I enjoy it, though I've not gotten terribly far yet; in my humble opinion, it is a markedly unchildish gesture to be unconcerned about how a graphical style reflects on one's self-image. I use Gentoo Linux and I have it installed on several boxes, though this particular one is dual-boot and mostly runs XP SP2. Andre (talk) 05:23, 18 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Invitation to the Forgotten Realms project
Hi,
We are working on a Forgotten Realms Project to map Toril (mostly Faerûn, at the present). Since you contributed quite a lot on a Forgotten Realms-specific entry, I'd like to invite you to join the project, so we could improve the “Mapping the Realms” project.
The goal is to create a sort of World Factbook for the Realms. This means:
- A consistent content
- Use of templates
- Entries should be limited to “sovereign places”: states and free cities, as well a moderately-inhabited place such as the Western Highlands.
On top of this, we also plan to cover Lost Empires, such as Pelvuria or Imaskar and, of course, Netheril
- The project is located here
- The Geographical index of Toril is a good start to get a visual of had been done, as well as the Halruaa entry.
Main contributors are presently
If you know some other person who would be interested, feel free to forward the invitation!
Feel free to take a look. We hope to see you soon mapping the Realms with us! Reply to David Latapie 12:33, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Notability of Open Hand
I came across Open Hand via The Dream (album) when I was working on what is now The Dream with Roy and HG. Would you be able to indicate whether they are notable enough to be included in wikipedia? How many copies of their albums have been sold? Thanks, Andjam 02:36, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
- I do not believe artists should be included or excluded from Wikipedia based on their album sales. With two albums now released, activity on the tour circuit as well as being likely to release material in the future I'd say they merit a position on Wikipedia, their albums included. The users who have edited the pages seem to agree with this viewpoint. I will soon edit both album pages to include the cover art, and more comprehensive information thereby removing their stub status. Obviously however, all of their articles need expanding, and any assistance is appreciated. Thank you for your question! -- D-Katana 00:53, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- Further, you only need look at the Trustkill article to see how many of their minor bands already have respective articles. -- D-Katana 00:57, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- As well as needing more information, it needs to be cleaned up. Currently, the only mentions listed of Open Hand are by the label, a promotional site and myspace. The article has weasel words such as "hailed as a significant record in the intelligent emo subgenre" (by whom?) and "which many see" and "some comparing the album to famed bands like ...". Andjam 01:17, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
- Truly. I believe some magazines have reviewed the band's work, Total Guitar and such. Citing that source would likely help. -- D-Katana 01:45, 19 April 2006

[edit] Forgotten Realms Project
Hi,
Of course, we need every hand we may have. Any information regarding places is welcomed. We especially need informations on place that are currently only displayed on a multi-country page, like, say, Erlkazar. The address of the project is WikiProjet: Forgotten Realms and you can get a synoptic table at Geographical index of Toril.
Bienvenu dans les Royaumes ! ;-)

[edit] Marijuana Wiki
Hi there,
I see that you are a pro-Cannabis Wikipedian so I hope this will be of some interest to you.
I've started a Marijuana wiki (aka The Sticky Wiki) which I think you might be interested in. I'm hoping you can help me get started with this project. Whereas lots of articles about weed get speedy-deleted on Wikipedia, they would be totally cool over at MarijuanaWiki. But really I want the site to be more of a marijuana community than merely an encyclopedia.
To give you an example, I want to have city guides about where to score, find pot-friendly cafes, marijuana events, and what represents a good price in that city. Etc. (You can check out the featured article: "Toronto" to see what I mean). I also want to have grow diaries and marijuana blogs. All in all, basically more communal than encyclopedic.
I am in need of admins/moderators, and people experienced with MediaWiki to help build policy, categories, and templates, etc. If you'd be interested in helping me with this project, the URL is MarijuanaWiki
Thanks for your time and consideration. Hope to see you there!

[edit] Your edit to Ordinator
Your recent edit to Ordinator was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept my humble creator's apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. - To clarify, the page was converted to the redirect to Ordinators - as the pluralistic definition is more applicable. This as opposed to an act of vandalism. Nice to see bots being so efficient! -- D-Katana 21:47, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

- WP article titles are virtually always singular. See Wikipedia:Naming convention.
- In general only create page titles that are in the singular, unless that noun is always in a plural form in English (such as scissors or trousers).
- Since there can be a single Ordinator, the article name should be in the singular. -Will Beback 04:07, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit to Eurodance
Hello,
Your recent edited work has been brought to my attention and after much discussion with members and die-hard fans from the eurodance community (eurodancehits, eurodance encyclopedia, eurodance nation, eurodance usa, dance artist info, eurodance rage, and serious eurodance) people who are extremely knowledgeable regarding this music, all of us have come to a conclusion that some your edited work is incorrect and that you provided limited information and details in the article. As a passionate fan of this genre since early 90's, we must not mislead new listeners with irrelavant or insignificant fact, but rather facts that provide substantial details that are correct.
If you have any questions please contact me at karine@eurodancehits.com
- To clarify; I simply cleaned up the article in extensive fashion and moved the lengthy artist list to "List of Eurodance artists" - no new information was added; and indeed some POV content was removed as per Wikipedia:NPOV. However, it is apparant the article still lacks detail and is unconcise - as such factual information and reliably cited claims as opposed to simple opinion is welcomed particularly in the first two sections. Edits from the fan community, as long as they are relevant, clear and cited , are very appreciated. -- D-Katana 12:14, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] NPA?
Sure, I'll take a look at it. Are there any criteria I should be aware of? >Radiant< 15:27, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- Likewise, it looks interesting. --Guinnog 20:45, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- It appears to be well-written and nicely sourced and illustrated. I lack the expertise in the subject matter to judge on its contents. Are there any criteria I should be aware of? >Radiant< 11:41, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
- It was obviously not a CSD :) I was wondering what the criteria are for "good status", a practice with which I am not really familiar. >Radiant< 14:39, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
