[edit] Alleged Suppression of Canadian Specifics
Is there some credible source for the claims that: (1) references to Canada are indeed toned down, and (2) the reason for this is to increase chances of syndication in the US?
If this information cannot be verified, I feel it should be removed. -Grammaticus Repairo 15:36, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- I was going to post my same suspicion. The references to Canada don't appear toned down when Dominic and the homicide detectives introduce themselves as being from Vancouver (i.e. "Detective Kosmo, Vancouver Homicide."), the police are commonly called constables, and the noticable differnt legal system with mention of the Crown and the attire of lawyers in courtroom scenes. And the issue of whether it was done for syndication in the States is moot when you consider the profanity used that has to be dubbed out. --Bacteria 10:35, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
