DAG (TV series)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
DAG was a television sitcom that aired from November 2000 to May 2001. It was named after its star, David Alan Grier, who played United States Secret Service agent Jerome Daggett. Daggett's name, in turn, is a back-formation. The show also starred Delta Burke as the First Lady of the United States of America, who treated him like a servant instead of her body guard.
DAG was canceled after its first season, airing 17 episodes on NBC.
[edit] Premise
Jerome Daggett was a Secret Service Agent who dives out of the way of a bullet during an assassination attempt. He is demoted to the "B-Team" with the other less-desireable agents assigned to protect the First Lady.
[edit] Trivia
- The President's codename was "Sledge Hammer." The President was played by David Rasche, who starred in Sledge Hammer!, a 1980s ABC comedy series that was a parody of NBC's Hunter (which itself was a television version of Dirty Harry).
