Dalmuir

Dalmuir (Gaelic: Dail Mhoire) is a small town in West Dunbartonshire in Scotland. It is neighboured by Old Kilpatrick, Mountblow and Clydebank and has a railway station,Dalmuir railway station, on the North Clyde Line.
The early village was host to Richard Collins' paper mill which opened in 1747 on the banks of the Duntocher Burn. Also, The Beardmore shipbuilding and engineering works attracted a large population to settle in the area.
Now, some of its most well-known areas are Dalmuir Park and the recreational park, referred to locally as the "Reckie", which boasts a handsome, if run-down, art deco pavilion. Nearby is the Auchentoshan Distillery, one of the more notable of Scotland's Lowland Distilleries.
The town has two Catholic primary schools, Our Lady of Loretto and St. Stephen's and one non-denominational primary school, Clydemuir Primary. There are also a few pubs, including The Horse and Barge, and The Mountblow.
