Dalton Chapman

Dalton Chapman is a character from the remake film House Of Wax which stars Elisha Cuthbert and Chad Michael Murray. Dalton is played by Jon Abrahams, an American actor. Abrahams claims that Dalton is the 'funny sweet one you've just gotta love'.

Dalton is the only character not to have a partner, besides Nick, who is played by Chad Michael Murray. To pass the time,he is often found with his video camera, filming the other characters whilst having make-out sessions.

Dalton is a plumber at Burge Sanitation LRG and wears his work clothes on the journey. It is obvious that he treasures his red Durango baseball cap as he hardly ever takes it off. He is the joker of the group, but does tend to get on the other characters nerves quite alot.

Dalton has a major crush on his best friends sister, Carly. He tries his hardest to keep this a secret, even though both Nick and Wade, Carly's boyfriend, (played by Jared Padalecki) suspect that Dalton is still in love with her.

Like all of the other guys, Dalton loves American football and during the film, he enjoys a game of it.

Paige, played by Paris Hilton and Carly aslo give Dalton a girly make over, where he is transformed in Blake's (played by Robert Ri'chard) words, Elton John but gayer. This is also when it becomes apparent that Dalton isn't the brightest member of the group, as he never realised that Elton John is actually gay.

A few years back, Dalton stole and crashed a car, but Nick willingly took the blame and ended up in jail. This shows that Dalton and Nick must have been very good friends.

Later in the movie, Nick and Dalton head into town to pick up Wade and Carly, unaware of the dangers and the fact that poor Wade is now covered in wax. Dalton and Nick decide to head in opposite directions- and Dalton goes towards the Wax museum....

After finding Wade covered in wax, Dalton first suspects that Wade is just messing around. But it soon becomes obvious that Wade is coated in wax. Dalton desperately tries to free his friend, but soon he has to flee for his own life as one of the villains, Vincent (played by Brian Van Holt) wants Dalton to become the next attraction in the museum.

Despite trying his hardest to escape, Dalton falls down a flight of stairs and is then beheaded by Vincent. Later on, Carly and Nick both find Dalton's body covered in wax.

At the end of the film, Nick steals Dalton's video camera from the clutches of the police, who believe it holds vital evidence. This way, they can remember happier times.
