Damon Dotson

Damon Dotson was born in Wahpeton, Iowa in 1980. Before Damon started playing the guitar and singing he was busy playing the drums from junior high through high school. At an early age Damon played drums in many different jazz and rock groups. This experience helped him hone his musical knowledge and rhythmic feel that has helped to define his own unique style of songwriting. He began seriously playing guitar and writing his own music his sophomore year in college where he also experimented with a few of his favorite cover songs. People in his hometown began to know him for his original music, energetic performances, and select cover songs that he truly made his own.[1] He is a local favorite and building a fan base especially with Iowa's college students, including students from Iowa State University and the University of Iowa. He is also a favorite in Okoboji, Iowa.
