[edit] Modes
Dance Factory also has a variety of modes:
- Endurance is where a player plays through the five licensed songs on the game, or an entire CD.
- Fitness is like Endurance mode. Weight is entered at the beginning which can be altered to your own weight, which can range from 10.00kg to 200kg. There is a calorie counter on the screen while you play and Mis-stepping will now say 'Pork Out' and 'Gettin' Flabby' instead of 'Miss.' When a song is finished, the screen shows the number of calories burned and how far one would have to jog, swim or cycle to burn off the same number of calories burnt.
- Creature
[edit] Criticisms
Dance Factory has often been criticised by reviewers for being little more than a 'novelty' that doesn't always synch the dance steps to the beat. Games Master magazine in their October 2006 issue gave the game 68%.
Game Informer stated in its August 2006 issue that the game makes a track based on the tempo of the song and not the rhythm and that the game seems to lose sync with the notes after about three minutes into a track.
