Boemle’s painting ambitions came to his attention very early, when he was a child. In the age of 22, he had his first atelier in an old farmhouse near Berne. In these times, Boemle had a kind of teacher, Werner Schwarz (An outsider-artist with ascetic lifestyle, was known for his church-windows made of old bottles).
Boemle applied fort the job at DRS 3 in 1988, when he was “stony-broke”. During his active time as a moderator, he is one of the most influent and formative Swiss radio moderators. Like Reeto von Gunten and François Mürner, he is one of the legendary moderators of DRS 3. When he was a moderator, his art only was secondary.
