Daniel Casey (born June 1, 1972) is a British actor best known for playing Sgt. Gavin Troy on Midsomer Murders and Anthony Cox in Our Friends in the North. He grew up in Stockton-on-Tees, England.

Daniel Casey grew up in a small holding in the surrounding coutryside of Stockton-On-Tees in the North East of England. He was born into a family of 5 children. Since being a young boy Daniel showed talent in acting and starred in many stage shows including Bugsy Malone, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Chicago and Sweet Charity. His first major television deal was Our Friends in The North. However, this is not his main claim to fame. Midsomer Murders, a drama set in the rural countryside of England where murder is ripe and seems to be round every corner is where we meet Daniel Caseys most distinguished role Sgt. Troy ... There was a massive furore when Troy got promoted and left the show.
