Daniel J. Weinstein (professor)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Daniel J. ("Dan") Weinstein, Ph.D. is a professor of English at the Dakota State University and is general faculty chair of its College of Arts and Sciences. Weinstein is well-known in academic blogger circles for his active proselytization of other academics to accept and engage technology as a learning aid. Weinstein's blog, http://dantoday.blogspot.com, dissects Weinstein's own, sometimes failed, attempts at bringing technology into the academic fold. The blog apparently developed as an extension of email listserve postings that were well-distributed among university faculties during the late 1990s.
Weinstein created controversy as editor of New Tricks, the literary magazine of the Dakota State University, when the magazine printed material that some believed should not have been printed in a taxpayer-supported, public-university-sponsored journal.
