From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Daniel Wretström, (October 15, 1983-December 9, 2000), was a Swedish skinhead murdered in Salem, Sweden. He played in the white power band Vit legion (White Legion).
Wretström had assaulted a girl during the day of December 9, 2000. In response, a gang attacked him later that evening, leading to his death. Seven of the people involved in the attack were convicted. Today all the perpetrators are free. The death of Daniel Wretström has inspired a yearly parade called the Salem March, by Swedish Nazis, who see Daniel as a martyr of Swedish nationalism. Far right group Combat 18 has called him "a modern Horst Wessel".
