Dante' “Taz” Roberson (born in 1972 in Stanford, California) is an African-American musician, drummer, musical director, and record producer, best known as the drummer for house band led by Dwayne Wiggins band that is featured on the Weekends at the D.L. television show, hosted by comedian D.L. Hughley. The show airs on the Comedy Central Cable Network.
Early Years
Dante's career began at age 3 when he started playing drums at the local church and became a professional drummer at the age of 16 playing with Gospel Artists such as Daryll Coley and The Clark Sisters.
Musical Versatility
Known as an On Demand Drummer his musical versatility ranges from Gospel, Latin,Jazz, R&B,Hip Hop and Soul. Dante' has performed with world renowned artists Najee, Carl Willer, Ivan Johnson, 98 Degrees ,The Coup, The B.L.A.C.K Experience, Marcus Miller, Demetrius Tolefree and many others.
Music Mentors
Dante' names Anthony King and Flyod Kennedy as his music mentors and has toured all over the world and worked with international artists Brenda Vaughn & Keith Hayes.
Musical Director & Producer
Dante' can be seen playing with Rolando Al-An and has added musical director to his repertoire for Robin Duhe (formerly of Maze), and Hip-Hop Artist Slick Rick.
He is currently on tour with award winning artist Eric Benet.
