[edit] Kids Incorporated
I took a look at the Kids Incorporated article last year and decided against trying to fix it. I figured it was hopeless and I didn't feel like fighting with the kids that want to add every single piece of info will-nilly into the article. I went back to look at again today, and I see that it's really gotten a lot better, and you deserve a lot of the credit for that. You also seem to have taken some real flak for it on the talk page, but really pushed hard and hung in there. So, consider this a very belated 'thank you for all your hard work' --adavidw 00:27, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the kind words. The KI page seems to constantly be a battle, so it's really nice to get this support. Thanks very much! DanielEng 02:49, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

- I dropped by to thank you for the work on the Kids Incorporated article too. I had ended up there while doing research on another topic and saw your angel so I thought I'd thank you for the work you did there. --DizFreak talk Contributions 18:53, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please sign your talk page posts with ~~~~
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you!
This is very important when posting user behavior warnings like you did at User talk:80.5.190.198. Stand up and take action. Will (Talk - contribs) 04:51, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hey Will, thank you for the message you left for me. I do always sign my posts on Talk Pages, etc., but I wasn't quite certain of the protocol when leaving warnings. I'd seen other warnings posted without signatures, and I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be anon, like Wikiquette Alerts. Thanks for clearing that up--I've recently joined the Counter-Vandalism Unit efforts, and I'd like to help instead of hinder, and I appreciate the helpful advice. [edit] xoxohth
Are you well aware that becuase of creeps like A----- C-----, a third year law student at the University of -----, who run a message board that not only allows but condones racist and misogynistic comments, people's careers and lives are potentially damaged? C-----'s website xoxohth has come under fire because of his refusal to remove defamatory comments about other people.
This is well known and has been in the media lately. C----- himself is under a lot of heat because he doesn't seem to give a damn that his actions have serious repercussions. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.17.49.4 (talk • contribs).

- Please sign your talk posts with four tildes (~) so that your comments can be attributed.

- I did not revert your edit based on my personal opinion of the content (for what it's worth, I have no tolerance for any sort of misogyny, racism or homophobia). It was reverted because it was not appropriate for the article.

- Information on Wikipedia must conform to the policy of neutrality, as per the guidelines listed at WP:NPOV. Everything must also be cited with reliable sources, as per WP:CITE, and must not amount to personal attacks against others. This is especially important when you are discussing living people. Even if you're telling the truth (and we assume all editors are), the truth has to be verifiable to those outside the immediate situation. Also, this is an encyclopedia, not a place for personal commentary.
-
- You are welcome to add any information you wish to Wiki, and to this article. However, if you wish to discuss the controversy, you must have reliable sources and write in a format that is compatible with the format we have here. DanielEng 06:08, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Vandalism
This user: 60.241.235.111 has been vandalizing the Saw IV and the Saw (film) articles. I have noticed on his discussion page that he has had several warnings, and you've issued a final warning. I was wondering what can be done to stop this person vandalizing the articles in the future. Thanks Movie Junkie 07:50, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
-
- Hi there, thanks for your message. There's been no activity from this IP since I posted my warning, but if the vandal does reappear, the next step would be to ask an administrator to issue a block at this link: [1] The user has been warned several times, so a block would probably be justified at this point. In the meantime, I'll put these two pages on my watchlist, so if anything turns up it can be reverted quickly. Best, --DanielEng 08:49, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks, I too have them in my watchlist. I can't see why people vandalise such articles, what are they gaining from it? :| Movie Junkie 16:17, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

- It does seem kind of pointless to vandalize, especially someplace like Wiki where the changes are noticed immediately and the changed material can be recovered and replaced in a matter of seconds. IMHO there are just a lot of bored kids out there with way too much time on their hands...anyway, I'm keeping an eye on those articles for you, so hopefully with many people looking out for them, they will be fine.
