Database system
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A database system or DBS is a system or software designed to manage a database, and run operations on the data requested by numerous clients. Typical examples of DBS use include accounting, human resources and customer support systems. DBSs have more recently emerged as a fairly standard part of any company back office. A DBS is not to be confused with a Database Management System which is the software used to create databases, and which DBSs reside on top of.
