Dave Hillyard

Dave Hillyard is a ska musician. He is most well-known for playing saxophone in ska band The Slackers, as well as his own musical group, Dave Hillyard and the Rocksteady 7. Hillyard was also in Hepcat during their early days and a band called Donkey Show. Hillyard has a long list of cameo credits with many bands like the Stubborn All-Stars and Rancid to name a few.
With his band the Rocksteady 7, Hillyard mostly plays ska, reggae, and jazz instrumentals, including improvisations. He has released two albums with the Rocksteady 7: 1999's Playtime on Hellcat Records, and 2003's United Front on Ohio's Dotellrecords.
