Dave Ogilvie
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dave Ogilvie is a Canadian record producer and musician. He is a producer of industrial music, and has been associated with bands such as Skinny Puppy (As long time producer and one time full-fledged member), Marilyn Manson, Jakalope (which is his band), Killing Joke, and Alexz Johnson.
He is frequently credited as Dave "Rave" Ogilvie, and should not be confused with Dave Desroches, who used the stage name "Dave Rave" without an additional surname, or with Kevin Ogilvie (also known as Ogre) of Skinny Puppy. He has done remixes for Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, and David Bowie among others.
He currently lives in Vancouver, BC, Canada with his wife and child. Dave grew up in Beaconsfield, Montreal where he attended St. Thomas high school. As a student there he excelled in band and in music class. After graduating he continued on to play guitar and practise his love for music. One day while he was playing guitar with friends, Mushroom studios phoned him and he was on the next flight to Vancouver Island to take part in the mixing of a 54-40 album. Dave is now well known in the goth/industrial scene.
