Dave Simpson (soccer)

Dave Simpson (born January 11, 1983 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian soccer player who currently plays for AC Sparta Prague in the Gambrinus liga.
He started his career with Royal Antwerp FC where he wasn't a regular starter, which led him to sign with the Hamilton Thunder of the Canadian Soccer League.
In 2005 he signed with the Toronto Lynx in the USL First Division where he was given the nickname "The Black Jumping Kangaroo, for his style of play. There he became a fan favourite often chatting with fans, and the media.
After impressing with the Lynx he signed for Lombard-Pápa TFC in the Borsodi Liga in 2006, where he continued to impress. At the end of the season his team were relegated which led him to sign with Czech giants AC Sparta Prague.
He was loaned to SK Kladno to gain more experience of the Czech league. He is a former member of U20 Canadian National Team, appeared in 4 matches scoring 1 goal in 2003. Played with the U20 National Team at the 2003 US Soccer Festival.
