Dayo Wong Tze Wah (Chinese: 黃子華) is a popular Hong Kong actor who was born September 5, 1960 and has a degree in philosophy from University of Alberta in Canada.
Dayo first began his career in the Hong Kong entertainment industry in 1984, but did not have the opportunity to show his talents in front of Hong Kong audiences, and thus he did things his own way. As the master of stand-up comedy performers of Hong Kong, he introduced stand-up comedy to Hong Kong in the 90s with his show 'Horrible History of Entertainment Industry' (briefly translated). This show greatly increased his popualrity and he started to become famous since then.
Initially a stand up comedy (since 1990) and scriptwriter, he began to appear in films. He has acted in Pink Bomb (1993), Walk In (1997) and Love and Sex Among the Ruins. Some other films: F*** Off, From Zero to Hero, The Legend of the Wolf and The Magic Touch. He also acted in the immensely popular TVB series War of the Genders and also To Catch the Uncatchable and also hosted the Chinese version of Russian Roulette (game show). He has also published a CD.
Dayo recently performed his latest stand-up comedy show on October 11 to October 22, 2006 in the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Hong Kong.
