The Dear Hunter is a band from the Boston area. The band originally began as a side project of ex The Receiving End of Sirens guitarist/singer Casey Crescenzo. He was a member of The Receiving End of Sirens from 2004 to the spring of 2006. Casey parted ways with The Receiving End of Sirens and began to focus full time on The Dear Hunter. He started out by forming a full band that includes long-time friend Luke Dent, as well as Erick Serna, and Sam Dent. They later began touring with label mate As Tall as Lions on a short northeast United States tour. The Dear Hunter's first EP The Lake South, The River North was released on Triple Crown Records on September 26, 2006. A book is scheduled to be released following the EP and the Dear Hunter's first full length album will be released on May 8th, 2007.
