Wanted: Dead or Alive is a 1990 (see 1990 in music) album by the hip hop duo Kool G Rap & DJ Polo. It is widely regarded as one of the most influential rap albums of the 1990's, and an indefinite classic status. This is in part due to the wide range of sounds implemented and expansion of G Rap's lyrical range, establishing him as one of, if not, the finest lyricist of his time. This album also marks the beginning of the Mafioso-rap subgenre later used by the likes of Raekwon. Kool G Rap is considered to have invented both mafioso and multi-syllabism into rap, and was a great influence on hip hop artists in the 90s and today.
