Degenerate X(Real name Gary Hendry Jr.), is an up and coming author on the website,fanfiction.net. Notorious for being very bold about why he feels, he had written several stories about the Disney Movie, High School Musical. The stories he's written, know as fanfics(A fanfic is a story that is written about a Movie, Book, Television Series, or other fan based item as such) are a very mixed breed, some of which feature a horror scenario, others feature a humor plot, but his newest fic, The Diary of an Obsessed Fangirl, would have to be the most controversial.

Life

Hendy was born in Houston, Texas, August 8, 1991. He was born the Dalia and Gary Hendry. His father is a Vietnam war veteran, as is his uncle on his mothers side. His two uncles on his fathers side both went to Germany. His brother-in-law has been home from Afganastan for several months now, and his brother just got back from Iraq. As you can see, he comes from a military based family. He grew up in "North Shore", what is considerably one of the roughest areas in Houston. But in the early 2000's, he moved to a different area in Texas.

Since he was only 5 years old, he has been deeply involved in wrestling, from all brands, from the highly successful WWE to the lower rated brands of XPW to OVW. He is an avid listener of Metal music, Contry, and some, but very little rap. He is very proud of his Texas herritage, and often shows it with his often use phrase, "I'm from Texas, b*tch." Know for his love of wrestling, he's adopted the nickname of "GLH"(Which is short for Gary Lynn Hendry), most belive it's a tribute to current WWE superstar, John Bradshaw Layfield, who calls himself,"JBL". And the nickname "Degenerate X" Which is belived to be spawned from the WWE wrestling group DeGeneration X. In the early 2000's, he took a interest into Anime, which would lead to him finding Fanfiction, only God himself knew what would come out of it years later.

Fanfiction and High School Musical

In 2006, The Disney Channel released a movie that would change history, and set records. High School Musical was that movie. A musical based around a basketball jock, Troy Bolton(Zac Efron), and brainy new girl, Gabriella Montez(Vanessa Hudgens). It would also feature young stars, such as the likes of Corbin Bleu(Chad Danforth), Monique Coleman(Taylor McKessie), Lucas Grabeel( Ryan Evans), and Ashley Tisdale, (Sharpay Evans). The movie was an immediate sucess, but it would capture the eye of...a "different" viewer. Hendry would take a liking to the movie, mostly because it featured his crush(At the time), Ashley Tisdale in the movie. Just weeks after the movie was show, hundreds of fanfics would emerge based on the Chacters of the movie. After several months of reading, he decided to write. Trying his luck with horror based stories, be began to make a name fom himself on the site, but he would not be as big as he has become until later months. Throughout those months, he would write several other stories, but perhaps the most compelling and recent, The Diary of an Obsessed Fangirl, which he portrays himself a young, bubbly-headed Zac Efron fangirl, which would bring us to our next section.

Zac Efron

Before High School Musical was out, Zac Efron hadn't had very much, if an publicity, but after the release of HSM(High School Musical), "Efron" would become a household name, thousands of girls, varying in age, would immediantly fall for him, but Hendry had different views. Highly unimpressed with Efron, he would make it a goal to publicaly bash Efron. Mostly on the fanfiction.net forums, but also on the fanboard forums. Being notorious for his rebellious and often outrageous behavior, he would even go as far as to post a video on the website youtube.com, of himself, actually setting a collage of pictures of Efron on fire and peeing it out. The video has been removed, but the short time it was up, it made quite an impact. But on Fanfiction.net, stories would emerge based on Efron, Hudgens, Tisdale, Grabeel, and other members of the High School Musical cast, this is against the rules, but the website is yet to remove them. So natrually, Hendry, who had just posted several letters claiming that he would quit writting, would launch the first fic of 2007, The Diary of an Obsessed Fangirl, which he portrays himself a young, bubbly-headed Zac Efron fangirl. Funny thing about it is that he is receiving more support from fellow authors and HSM fans, than he is bashers, or as they're know to the fanfiction world, flamers. One author would go as far as to call him "Our f*cking savior", while other would call him deranged, and claimed he was stepping over the line. He he replies they are doing the same and continues to publish a new chapter every day, and promises a new entry, every day, for the rest of 2007, until the real-life(Stories about the cast members, instead of their movie, T.V chacters.), stop, and are deleted.

The infamous "Pee video", where he urinates on a picture of Zac Efron, was taken off the site, he claims it was deleted by the site, but the label reads,"Deleted by the user." He denies it to this day.

He lanched a "Apology" video to Zac for it, but most feel it was just a work, he refused to comment about it.

He claims to hate High School Musical, but loves the chacters of the movie.

He also claims to hate Zac Efron, but not Troy Bolton(The chacter Efron portrays in HSM).

He currently took on the title of,"The CEO of Rebellion - DX" Which is belived to spark controversy, since WWE has copyrighted the term "DX". Hendry claims he means no disrespect, and claims he makes no profit, has not tried to copyright it, and says it's a show of respect to his favorite wrestler, Shawn Michales, who is a member of DeGeneration X, a WWE faction refered to as, "DX".

Everyone belives the name "Degenerate X" originates entirely from the WWE wrestling group Degeneration X, but actualy, he claims he was on a fan board with Efron's fangirls, and was insulting him, and one of the girls called him a Degenerate, so he adopted the name, Degenerate X, but gives full credit to WWE.

He has never been out of the state of Texas in his life.

Claims he has kidnapped God at one point in a youtube video, later revealed that the invisable being was Molly Ringwald, saying,"Hey, she had to go somewhere all these years."
