The criticisms are sensible and reflect omissions on the part of the original author (me). I've attempted to address the concerns by providing verification below.

Non-notable per WP:MUSIC

A musician or ensemble (note that this includes a band, singer, rapper, orchestra, hip hop crew, DJ etc) is notable if it meets any one of the following criteria:

1) Has gone on an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one large or medium-sized country,[1] reported in notable and verifiable sources.

Thirty Ought Six did several national tours and one trip to Europe. The most verifiable US tour was Lollapalooza 1996, where the band appeared on the ‘Indie Stage’.

2 ) Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e. an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable).

4) Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable; note that it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such. Jeremy Enigk from ‘Sunny Day Real Estate’ performed with Thirty Ought Six on their second album, ‘Hag Seed’

5) Has become the most prominent representative of a notable style or the local scene of a city (or both, as in British hip hop); note that the subject must still meet all ordinary Wikipedia standards, including verifiability.

This is perhaps a stretch. Thirty Ought Six was a prominent Portland indie rock band a decade ago, but certainly not the most prominent one in town.

• Endorse deletion. I would not say that the above constitutes new evidence of notability. They released two records, one of tem on their own label (i.e. self-published); they had guest vocals by somsone who later went on to be a member of a marginally less anonymous band, but was not a member of this band as such, just guesting. As the anon editor says, some of the claims are a bit of a stretch. Just zis Guy you know? 07:06, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
• Endorse closure No sources were given in original article, so afd closure was valid. However, these new sources, while increasing the notabilty arguement, are still too weak on verifibity issues, as there is much more info in the article that can be verified by these sources. (Also, answers.com can not really be used as a source, as it's a wikipedia mirror) Regards, MartinRe 10:01, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
