After completing his high school diploma at [Cape Town High School] in 1995, Denver continued his studies at the [Cape Technikon]. He graduated three years later with a [National Diploma] in [Marketing] [Management], after which he enrolled at the [AAA School of Advertising], completing a [Post Graduate Diploma] in Advertising, majoring in [Cyber Marketing]. Denver is currently completing a [MBA] at the [University of Stellenbosch] on a modular basis.
He has extensive experience in marketing and communication both locally and abroad. He has worked in the fast-paced world of web communication, completing assignments in the [Middle East] and Florida, USA. He is currently [Web Editor]: [Online Marketing Communication] at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
Denver has a keen passion for music. He has written and produced songs for a variety of artists and has performed widely over the last ten years both as a solo artist and as a member of local bands. He plays the acoustic guitar, piano, bass guitar and even the harmonica. His music tastes are eclectic and range from the [Commodores] to [All American Rejects], [Stevie Wonder] to [Pink].
Denver reads widely and has a particular interest in [current affairs], [politics] and [sport]. In 2005 he completed a course in television presenting at [City Varsity] under the guidance of [Lynita Crofford]. He trained with [Ayanda Tini] on the [Moonlight District] between 10 pm and 2 am on [Heart 104.9]. You can now listen to him every Saturday and Sunday between 02:00 and 06:00 on [Heart 104.9], playing the best in Cape Town soul
He is currently researching his thesis on the ‘[Confluence] of [Popular Culture] and [Branding]’. The changes in [popular culture] are constant and occur uniquely in place and time. This report thus aims to define how we are best able harness the power of cultural change in influencing the branding activities of companies.
