Deon D'Marquis Grant (Born March 14, 1979) is a cornerback/safety for the Seattle Seahawks.
Grant attended Josey High School (Augusta, GA) and was a first team USA Today All-USA selection. He was picked up in the 2nd round of the 2000 draft by the Carolina Panthers. He then was sent to Jacksonville, where he played for 3 seasons and was sometimes called a great safety. Picked up in free agency by the Seattle Seahawks, rumors are their current safety Ken Hamlin will leave the team.
Grant is believed to received the biggest signing bonus ever given to an NFL safety. (The Seahawks, in 2005, gave the believed biggest contract to running back Shaun Alexander.)
