Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service is the statutory fire and rescue service covering the area of Derbyshire, England

The service was formed as a result of the Fire Services Act 1947. In 1974, all of the borough fire services had to be formed into central county services. The service was at the time under the control of local authorities.^[1]

There are 39 fire stations currently in operation with the service. Currently there are:

• 27 Retained fire stations
• 9 Wholetime stations
• 3 Day-staffed stations^[2]

There are a total of 58 fire appliances used by the service, these are spread across all of the 39 fire stations. Currently there are:

• Front line fire appliances
• 3 High rise vehicles
• 3 Emergency tenders/BA
• 3 Foam/water carriers
• 1 Unimog multi-terrain vehicle
• 1 Mobile incident command unit
• 1 Incident Response Unit
• 1 High Volume Pumping Unit
• 1 Environmental unit
• 1 Rope rescue unit.^[3]
