Desire Climax (欲情(C)MAX Yokujou Climax?) is a Shōjo manga series by mangaka Ayane Ukyou.
Mio Omori's father died when she was young, and her mother has been hospitalised for a while now. She's living alone with her little brother Hina(ta), working at part-time jobs in order to pay the bills. One night when going home after work, she stumbles upon a violent guy who tells her he'll 'buy her', after stealing her first kiss. The next day her mother tells her that their landlord has offered her a job as a maid. Mio hesitates, but her mother insists she takes the job, as she feels this is safer than Mio's late night jobs. But then Mio finds out that the violent guy who stole her kiss is none other than The Prince - Shoei Jinnai, her landlord's son and the most popular guy at her high school!
[edit] Story
Mio starts to work for the Jinnais, while the Prince's behaviour towards her grows worse. He also starts blaming her for 'forgetting something'. Mio finds a ring in the forest between her house and the Jinnai's. This seems to trigger some memories of the past, and during a fever induced dream she remembers the history between the Prince and herself. They actually were good friends as children. One day, while playing in the forest they switched their clothes, and agreed to switch identities as well. So when a stranger appeared asking for 'Shoei Jinnai', Mio answers and gets kidnapped. She returns after a day, but Shoei is so messed up by this event that he shouts at Mio that he hates her, and ignores her afterwards. This crushes Mio's feelings, triggering her memory loss.
After learning the truth behind their past, Mio makes an effort to re-educate the Prince. Spending this much time with him, she starts to develop feelings for him - even though he still molests her from time to time (Although it's not specified whether or not her pleas of "No" and "Don't" are heartfelt). In his own way, the Prince starts to treat her as his girlfriend, he even tells Mio he loves her. When they finally start dating, Hinata gets jealous. He tries to interfere with their relationship, and even goes as far as trying to seducing the Prince. When Mio catches them kissing, she runs home - but not for long, as the next morning their house is destroyed on the Prince's order. Thus forcing Mio and Hinata to live with the Jinnais. Mio announces she'll rather run away than live with the Jinnais, but then Hinata kisses her and confesses his (more than brotherly) love for her. The Prince steps in, but Mio doesn't want to be with either of them and runs off. The Prince finds her in the process of being soliciated by a perverted older man, and drags her back, and during the argument that follows Mio finally tells him she doesn't like the way he treats her. This actually brings the couple closer together. Meanwhile, Hinata has also ran away from home (he goes to live with his pimp - he has actually been working as an escort for some time, without Mio knowing). With Hayata's help Mio manages to talk to Hinata on the phone. During this conversation Hinata reveals that the Jinnais have been helping the Omori family financially for some time, and he suggests that a family connection is the reason behind this. Mio confronts her mother, who confesses that the Prince is actually Mio's brother.
