Dexter Reid (born March 18, 1981) is a safety currently a free agent in the National Football League. Born on March 18, 1981, he was drafted by the Patriots in the 4th round of the 2004 draft after four years playing for the North Carolina Tar Heels. When Colts linebacker Rocky Calmus was injured, the Colts signed Reid, who had recently been released by the Patriots. On February 21, 2007, the Colts waived Reid.
