Digital journal
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
DigitalJournal.com is a community-based news website covering breaking news stories.
Stories are posted by staff writers and members, who are encouraged to comment on and rate other members' stories and comments. It is similar to social bookmarking sites such as Digg or reddit, while including a revenue-sharing model wherby members compete to earn money based on the frequency and rating of their posts and comments.[1]
DigitalJournal.com uses a portion of its revenue to pay members to contribute stories, comments and video posts. As of December 2006, the site was offering a shared cash pool of $2,000.[2]
