Dimi Dero Inc
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dimi Dero Inc like so many other bands were born one drunken night, on what was one of those - now famous - Sonic RDV shows that brought Paris back onto the rock n roll map around 2000/2003. Vinz asked Dimi & Brenko, already collaborating on songwriting for several months, what they were up to. On the spot, he offered his services as the bassist. The three united, Gooloo (formerly of the Backsliders) came on drums. For a moment, Dimi Dero Inc was a five piece band, with keyboardist (and French singer) Lisa Barel, then stabilised with the four present members : Dimi (vocals, guitar), Brenko (guitar), Vinz (bass) and Manga (drums). Meanwhile, the first Dimi Dero "solo" album "Good Morning Monsieur Edvard" was released. Since then, the band has played clubs & bars in France on a regular basis, sometimes sharing the stage with people like the Dum Dum Boys, Tav Falco, Petit Vodo or the ex-Penthouse/Hypnotics guys of Black Moses. In 2004, "Greetings From Trauma", the first album released by the band as such, received rave reviews in the press, just like "Good Morning Monsieur Edvard" had. A single and a couple of participation's for various compilations went along.
