[edit] Biography
Born Marco Antonio Rodriguez-Diaz JR in Tampa in 1980, Infamous found his first source of musical inspiration in his family (two of Infamous' uncles were accomlished drummers one of which was the tour drummer for Chaka Khan, and his father Marco SR. an accomplished guitar player). He began playing guitar at the age of six but shortly after his fathers arrest in 1988 decided to stop his lessons and wouldn't touch a musical instrument until 1997. In '97 Infamous bought his first turntables and by '98 was already crowned ITF USA champion and world runner up. Content but not fully fullfilled with his efforts Infamous prepared for the following year and along side fellow Allies members Develop, J smoke, and Spictakular would go on to win the 1999 ITF world team championships. In 2000 Infamous competed again as an individual and won his second world title in the beat juggling category. In 2001 Infamous ended his competitive career after winning the DMC World Team championships alongside DJ Craze, Tony Vegas, and Prime Cuts (of the Scratch Perverts) who together became The Perverted Allies.
Aside from his three world titles, Infamous was the Co-founder of Ammo Records the official record label of The Allies, founder of The Allstar Beatdown the first International DJ battle thrown by DJs with a completely non political voting system, and introduced the world to Tablist Magazine, the first magazine dedicated to the hip-hop DJ.
Around 2001, after his third and final world title, Infamous disappeared from the turntablist scene, shut down The Allstar Beatdown and returned to his roots of playing guitar. Infamous started a band called Antenna in 2001 with members Justin Mchale (vocals), and Jason Haft (drums). Antenna's ELEVEN:ELEVEN album was an independent effort with Infamous playing all instruments but drums and drew the band a lot of major label attention. Shortly after the release the band dismantled. Today Infamous is producing music for such artists as Lil' Wayne, Juelz Santana, Wynter Gordon, Money, Casely, Currency and more alongside long time friends Develop, Filthy, and Spictakular.
