Talk:Doepfer A-100

Lunatikwreckless, hi again and thanks for the explanation in the email; I just received it. That's great that you've contacted Doepfer about this. They should seriously consider re-licensing those technical documents under the GFDL or a GFDL-compatible license. That would take care of this problem entirely. If this is not possible, then I do not believe grammatical corrections and small word changes will circumvent the copyright policy on WP. I could be wrong, but I don't think technical documents are republishable under a fair use argument. Anyways, this Wikipedia:Boilerplate request for permission might be useful to provide to Doepfer. They seem like a fairly forward-thinking tech company, so hopefully they'll see the benefit of re-licensing their docs under the GFDL. Let me know if I can help. --Ds13 06:41, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
