"Don't Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth" is a first-season installment of The Monkees television series. It is episode eight of the series, first airing on NBC October 24, 1966 and repeated on CBS December 6, 1969 July 11, 1970, and September 18, 1971, and on ABC December 16, 1972 and July 21, 1973.

The Monkees like to horse around, but this is ridiculous: they've become the reluctant owners of a pet black stallion and must find a way to hide it from their landlord. To save the stallion - and their tenancy - the boys try their luck at taking up farming and jockeying.
