Don Gilet

Don Gilet (born 1967, Walsall) is an English actor, best known for his roles in BBC productions Babyfather and 55 Degrees North.

He was brought up in Walsall, with two older sisters. He is currently dating Tracy Whitwell, whom he met whilst filming a brothel scene in TV drama, 55 Degrees North.

Don Gilet's first major television appearance was hosting a children's programme titled Playabout, alongside Floella Benjamin. His first major role was playing Johnny Lindo in Babyfather, before landing the lead role in detective series 55 Degrees North, as Detective Sergeant Nicky Cole. In 2006, he played gay man, Leo Charles, in The Line of Beauty and had a prominent role in the Doctor Who Christmas episode The Runaway Bride. He often performs his own stunts on set.
He has also had minor appearances in Casualty, Holby City, Silent Witness and The Bill.
In theatre, he has appeared in As You Like It and The Alchemist. In addition, he also works as a club DJ in North London and can breakdance to an excellent standard.[citation needed]
